We expected a spacious room with a balcony and stunning views, but instead received a cramped, downgrading room with a basic setup. Additionally, the hotel’s parking situation was a hassle—it's quite a trek uphill to reach the public parking areas, especially with luggage. It's frustrating that what was promised in our reservation never materialized.

Palazzo Pacini offered a charming stay in the heart of old Colle di Val d'Elsa. The deluxe double room had spaciousness and stunning hillside views, making it a lovely retreat. Breakfast featured homemade Italian pastries that were a delight every morning. However, the bed could use an upgrade, as it wasn't as comfy as expected. During our visit, the cooling system struggled slightly with the heat, maintaining a warm temperature. Finding parking was a minor challenge, as the hotel is a bit of a walk from public parking areas. Despite these issues, the hospitality shown by Pietro, who provided helpful local recommendations and even offered a shuttle service, made the visit memorable.

The breakfast was outstanding! We loved homemade omelettes and pastries. The views from our room were a treat too. Just the air conditioning could have been a bit more comfortable. 😍

One downside was the lack of parking right at the hotel, which made arriving a bit tricky for us and involved a walk to a nearby parking area.

Couples get a Romantic Escape

We stayed for two nights and I can tell you, the breakfast on the terrace was Fine! Eggs made just how we like them, surrounded by a view of the rolling hills, it was like something outta a movie. Plus, the owner was super friendly, even made us coffee when we arrived and helped us find the best steak place in town.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but worth every penny.
